Why does Etsy show prices in dollars?

Just like with every other website, there is actually a simple fix if you’re wanting to switch from one currency to another. If you find that your prices are showing different on Etsy that what it should, then simply scroll to the bottom of the website homepage.

Once you’ve clicked this, you’ll get a pop up box that lets you choose your region, your language and your currency.

Just like that, you’re currency will change to the one you desire.

But, why does Etsy show prices in dollars automatically for some? Websites show prices in dollars because the site may be based in the United States, uses USD as its global default currency, or your device’s location, IP address, or browser language settings tricked the site into thinking you are in the US or prefer American pricing. Check your browser, whether it be Chrome, IE, Firefox etc, or your device settings to make sure you’re location is correct. (1)
