1. Shop Profile Logo & Banner

It's all about first impressions, just like in person, so you want to make sure your logo is understandable and likewise if you choose to use a banner. When you think of your favourite brands, you'll think of their logo - we want this to be the same for your shop too.

2. About Me Section
Your 'About Me' section on Etsy should be a detailed section that a prospective buyer can find out about you, the creator, and your shop. Each shop 'about me' section should have the following:
- A brief story on how your shop/business started and why you decided to open it in the first place.
- Add all your social media links, especially any outside blog/shops that you run outside of Etsy but is still the same business.
- Any production partners you may have, for example, if you have an outside printer or supplier.
- Including photos of your shop items in production - this can be a nice touch for a buyer to see their item being created and/or the area in which you work in.
- Showing any fellow shop members that may work with you.

3. Policies
Every business in the land has policies, and just because you're a smaller business doesn't mean you shouldn't! The thought of creating a policy of any kind can sound daunting, especially when you have no idea what to add to it. But it really needn't be complicated. We recommend that your policies include the following:
- payment options
- processing times - how long it will take to process/create an order
- delivery times - how long the item will take from the date of shipping to receiving
- returns and exchange options - if you offer returns/exchanges then you must explain how these can be managed.
- privacy policy - this usually covers who you are/the name of your business, if you're storing any details and why, as well as how, you are storing said details and for how long.

4. Shop Profile Sections
All shops have the option to add sections to their shop front and although it does not affect your SEO (rankings in search engines) it does help a customer find their way around your store.
When thinking of sections try to see your online shop as a physical one. What would go well together? For example, you could have one section for Home Decor or you could break it down further to have Bedroom Decor, Livingroom Decor, Kitchen Decor.

5. Announcement
At the very beginning of your shop profile, you'll see a small section for an announcement. Not all shops use them, however, they are great at getting a short statement out there without the user having to scroll through endless paragraphs or pages.
